Kanye West - Monster (feat. JAY-Z, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj & Bon Iver)

So like a lot of people I am pretty obsessed with Kanye’s new album, but this track is, for the moment, the highlight. I just can’t get past it!

Kanye’s lyrics careen wildly from the gloriously awful “put the pussy in a sarcophagus” to the delightfully transcendent “my presence is a present, kiss my ass” (via the rather sublime line about a “swallowship”). Jay Z’s delivery is also great but doesn’t really stand out… but this says a lot more about the rest of the track than it does about him.

But I must admit, for me, it’s really Nicki Minaj who absolutely nails this track. The first time I heard her part I felt like I’d been punched in the face by a rainbow. She is a fucking BAMF.

I swear I’ve read nothing but variations on all these opinions regarding this track. Nice sentiment echoing bro
